Annual Sankara Jayanti Celebrations

Sri Karthikeya Swami Temple, Chandigarh (Established 1992)
Each year, Shri Adi Sankara Jayanti is celebrated with great devotion across Amritsar, Ludhiana, Chandigarh and surrounding regions. Families come together to participate in sacred poojas and havans such as the Sahasra Kalasa Rudra Abhishekam, Navagraha Havan, Avahanti Havan, Sankaracharya Stotra Parayanam, Upanishad chanting, and keertan. Hundreds of families join these celebrations annually, filling the atmosphere with faith, unity and reverence. The festivities conclude with the offering of Langar (Anna Prasad) to all devotees. Sankara Eye Hospital, Ludhiana

Sankara Eye Hospital began in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu with the blessings and guidance of the Kanchi Acharyas and has since grown into a trusted pan-India healthcare institution known for its compassionate eye care. The Ludhiana centre serves 22 districts across Punjab, offering both free and affordable treatments to thousands each year. Through active outreach in rural and semi-urban areas, it ensures quality eye care reaches even the most under-served communities.
