Adi Sankara Jayanti is observed across Punjab with havan, chanting, and community gatherings. It offers devotees a chance to connect with the life and teachings of Sri Adi Shankaracharya. Scholars and Vidwans from southern part of India work alongside the Vidwans from various parts of Punjab and together make it a memorable and spiritual event for the people.

On 18 April, Sahasra Kalasha Abhishekam was performed to Lord Shiva using 1008 earthen pots sanctified through Vedic mantras, with devotees participating throughout the ritual.

Celebrations at Sri Gouri Shankar Mandir, Amritsar

On 19 April, Shobha Yatra was organized from Sri Purushottamdas Mandir, Namak Mandi to Durgiana Mandir. The procession was received with honors by Sri Arun Khanna, the General Secretary of Shri Durgiana Mandir Management Committee. Hundreds of Amritsar Devotees joined the procession along the route performing bhajans and keertan and making it a devotional and lively event.

21st April marked the 2535th jayanti of Sri Adi Sankaracharya. The Havan purnahuti event was graced by the presence of BhaiShri Rameshbhai Ojha ji and Shri Pundrik Goswami ji, who attended the event upon invitation from the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham & Shri Govind Dev Giriji. Their presence added to the significance of the occasion. After the Purnahuti, BhaiShree addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of the Guru–Shishya Parampara and the profound significance of Sri Adi Shankaracharya’s contributions to Sanatana Dharma.
